For we are God’s Masterpiece created for a purpose long ago.
For we are God’s Masterpiece created for a purpose long ago.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
~ Matthew 11:28
I've been thinking a lot lately about what it means to find peace in our everyday moments. Life has a way of getting busy, doesn't it? Between the laundry, the grocery runs, and all the little things that fill our days, it's easy to miss the quiet whispers of grace that God weaves throughout our ordinary moments.
But here's what I'm learning: peace isn't something we have to chase after or earn. It's a gift that's already been given to us. We just need eyes to see it and hearts willing to receive it.
Yesterday morning, I was making my coffee (you know how sacred that morning routine is!), and I noticed how the steam curled up from my mug like a little prayer ascending to heaven. In that moment, I felt God's presence so clearly. Not in a grand cathedral or during a worship service, but right there in my kitchen, in my pajamas, with my messy hair.
That's the thing about our God - He meets us right where we are. In the mess, in the mundane, in the moments we think are too small to matter. He's there, whispering His love over us.
Lord, help me to slow down today. Help me to notice Your presence in the small things - in the laughter of my loved ones, in the warmth of sunshine through my window, in the simple gift of breath in my lungs. Thank You for meeting me right where I am. Amen.
Sweet friend, I hope you find moments of peace in your day today. Look for them - they're there, waiting to be discovered. God is writing love letters to you in the everyday moments. You just have to open your eyes to read them.
